COMMENTS REQUESTED HOODOC VEGETATION MANAGEMENT PROJECT LIBBY RANGER DISTRICT The Libby Ranger District of the Kootenai National Forest would like your comments and suggestions on the proposed Hoodoo Vegetation Management Project. The Forest is proposing to treat 1,930 acres in the Granite, Snow, No, Deep, Smearl, and Big Cherry drainages in Lincoln County, Montana to address forest health and hazardous fuels concerns. There are 684 acres of commercial thinning, 37 acres of clearcutting, and 1209 acres of pre-commercial thinning which involves thinning small diameter trees being considered for treatment. The following roads are being considered for use with up to two miles of temporary road construction: 4791, 278, 5140, 6205D, 4791, 4791A, 4791T, 4791N. 4791V, 14439, 14411, 4791W, 4792, 6205, 6205A, 6205F, 6205B, 6705, 6705A, 867, 4790, 6203, 14509, 6203E, 6203B, 6203A.
