Tricon Timber is the largest family-owned mill in the state of Montana. Breaking ground in 1989, Tricon came on line in May 1991 and is a full service facility which utilizes 100% of all wood products with no waste. Originally designed to produce 12 mmbf annually, Tricon's current production is 100 mmbf. Primarily constructed to produce stud framing lumber, Tricon expanded to facilitate the Chinese export markets as well as Korean, Indonesia and Japan. Its nine-foot stud mill in St. Regis, Montana produces quality framing lumber as well as beautiful and durable softwood flooring and wainscot materials ― including the larch flooring in the Governor's mansion in Helena.
