About
The importance of the arts cannot be overstated. A vibrant art community helps spur community and economic development and also serves as an attraction for potential tourists. It was with this idea in mind that Kootenai Country Montana decided to open the Kootenai Country Montana Fine Art Gallery at 906 Montana Avenue in Libby, Montana.
The gallery opened in November 2016, displaying the work of local sculptor Scott Lennard, as well as several pieces created during the inaugural Kootenai Country Montana Chainsaw Carving Championship. The gallery also features a youth art section, operated in cooperation with Libby Public Schools, in which is displayed various works of art created by local students from grades four through eight.
The gallery staff is actively seeking other local artists, especially painters and photographers, who would like to display their work. Interested artists should contact the gallery.
