Logan State Park is located in northwest Montana. With frontage on the north shore of Middle Thompson Lake, Logan is heavily forested with western larch, Douglas-fir, and ponderosa pine. A channel includes the Upper lake, and it connects Middle and Lower Thompson lakes. This state park is situated in the middle of the 3,000-acre Thompson Chain of Lakes State Park. Attractions include swimming, boating, camping, horseshoe pit, water skiing, and good fishing.
