LEGAL NOTICE The Weyerhaeuser Company (Weyerhaeuser) operates 96 rock quar ries in northwestern Montana under Operating Permit No. 00167. Weyerhaeuser has requested full bond release, partial bond release, or a combination of full and partial bond release for 18 sites as set forth in the following table. Full bond release is being requested where reclamation has been completed and partial bond release where some reclamation work remains on a portion of the acreage within the site. The 18 sites total approximately 73.9 acres. DEQ has inspected the sites and believes the bond reduction based on partial or completed reclamation is warranted. Therefore, DEQ is proposing a total bond release of $78.292.50. DEQ currently holds bond in the amount of $250.000. If Weyerhaeuser decides to quarry additional rock at any of these sites in the future, DEQ will require Weyerhaeuser to submit additional bond.
