HWY 37 SPEED REDUCTION On April 26th, 2023, the results were revealed to the Lincoln County Commissioners in Libby. Montana DOT Revoked The Citizens Request to change the speed from 70 mph to 55 mph on MT-HWY 37 North to Fisher River Road. WE THE RESIDENTS ARE NOT HAPPY!! It Is Time For Action! For the safety of our community, Libby needs everyone's support by responding by e-mail to our 1st District County Commissioner, Brent Teske@bteske@libby.org. The deadline is June 20th! THIS WILL BE OUR LAST & FINAL OPPORTUNITY TO RESPOND! THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS CHANGE IS: 1. At a speed of 55 mph, citizens will have more control to save our wildlife and damage to their vehicles. 2. There will be 2-3 more subdivisions being built on North HWY 37. 3. The amount of truck traffic to the reconstruction to the tailings dam, near Rainy Creek. 4.
